Bob Schwartz joins Energy Ventures

Energy Ventures announced that industry veteran Bob Schwartz has joined the firm to help establish their Houston office. Schwartz has been President of HTC Energy, a component of the Houston Technology Center, a leading incubator of emerging energy technology companies. Prior to the HTC Schwartz held executive positions with ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, Weatherford and FMC and served as Director of the Entrepreneurship Concentration of the McCombs School at the University of Texas at Austin. He holds an engineering degree from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

In joining Energy Ventures Schwartz said, “I am pleased to be a part of the Energy Ventures team. Their decision to open an office in Houston further confirms the role of Houston as the energy center of the future and Energy Ventures commitment to funding new technology solutions.”

Helge Tveit, a co-founder of Energy Ventures, who has moved to Houston to head the office commented, “We are fortunate that someone with Bob’s extensive experience and contacts in our industry has chosen to join Energy Ventures. His joining, combined with the opening of the Houston office, represents our ongoing commitment to supply venture capital to the petroleum sector.”
