PanGeo Subsea Opens Operations Office in the UK

PanGeo Subsea has opened its operations office in Aberdeen, Scotland, as part of its business plan to grow the company’s services worldwide. Located in the Arnhill Business Park, Westhill, PanGeo Subsea Scotland will support global operations for offshore oil and gas and renewable energy.

Moya Cahill, President of PanGeo Subsea, made the announcement during the Oceanology International show in London. “Aberdeen was a strategic choice for the hub of our offshore operations. We have identified a strong market demand for our 3D acoustic imaging service and want to bring our leading edge technology directly to our customers.”

Specializing in 3D and 4D subsea acoustic imaging, PanGeo Subsea delivers solutions that mitigate risk and create value for subsea installations for oil and gas, offshore renewable energy and other industries including mining and military applications.

In support of PanGeo Subsea’s presence in Europe, Ms. Cahill also announced some significant staff appointments.

Heading the Aberdeen operations is Alexander Fleming. As Vice President of Global Operations, Mr. Fleming is assembling an impressive group of offshore personnel to deliver PanGeo Subsea’s new site investigation technology. He has been involved in the offshore construction oil and gas business for over 30 years. Educated as a civil engineer, Mr. Fleming initially worked on major civil engineering projects. The majority of his experience involves global offshore hydrographic surveys. He has held senior roles in the areas of project management, survey management and offshore operations most recently as President of DOF Subsea in Houston.

PanGeo Subsea has also expanded its business development capacity. Angus Cooper has joined PanGeo Subsea as Director of Business Development and Sales for oil and gas and will work out of the Scottish office. Mr. Cooper has over 35 years of global experience in the offshore survey industry. Much of his experience was garnered in senior management roles. Mr. Cooper specializes in the managing and selling of products and services.

Henrik Lundorf Nielsen is the Business Development Manager for renewable energy working from the PanGeo Subsea office in Aarhus, Denmark. Mr. Nielsen has 15 years experience in the area of geotechnical survey, site investigation and geotechnical engineering. He has worked in the field of wind energy for ten years. He holds a Master of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Aalborg, Denmark, and is a member of the board of the Danish Geotechnical Society.

PanGeo Subsea’s corporate headquarters and technology development are located in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, with business development and operations offices in Norway, Denmark and now Scotland.
