Business Plan

In the process of evaluating potential portfolio companies, the first step after initial contact has been made is for the potential portfolio company to submit their business plan for evaluation by Energy Ventures' management. Thereafter meetings can be set up to give the entrepreneurs further possibility to present their company.

A business plan ought to contain at least the following information:

  • A brief history of the company
  • Full resumes of key management (highlighting industry and market experience and expertise)
  • Description of the products or services
  • Analysis of the market and the competition
  • Description of the business and the company's business strategy
  • Financial statements for the last four years, or as long back as available
  • Financial projections for the next four years, including expected capital requirements in the period
  • Shareholder history and structure. After submitting your business plan, Energy Ventures will normally need two weeks for the first screening

The full business plan can be sent via email . Energy Ventures prefer business plans to be of MS Powerpoint format or Adobe Acrobat format.
