Prior to joining Statoil, Camargo spent 27 years at Petrobras in exploration and executive positions and was formerly a Petrobas Executive Board member responsible for the International Area.

Former board member of CPRM, the Brazilian geological service; and IBP, the Brazilian petroleum institute.

MA in Geophysics from the University of Texas. BS in Geology from the University of Brasilia.



 
Dr. Ivor Ellul


Founder and CEO of Knowledge Reservoir.

Over 20 years of upstream oil and gas experience, specializing in the numerical modeling of single and multiphase pipelines. Registered chartered engineer in the UK and registered professional engineer in Texas.

Former president of Smedvig Technologies Americas.

PhD in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College, London. Industry lecturer to the Petroleum Engineering Department of Imperial College.



 
Dr. Kok Seng Foo


General Manager at Keppel Offshore & Marine’s offshore technology department.

Dr. Foo brings a wealth of experience and contacts in the FPSO market.



 
Ketil Lenning


Former President and CEO of Odfjell Drilling AS.

Fifteen years of energy industry experience and an additional 13 years of experience in maritime drilling and oil production.

Former COO of Smedvig ASA.

BS in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University.



 
David Malone


CTO of Shoaibi Group, responsible for leading investment activities in oil and gas technologies appropriate for the Middle East Market.

Former portfolio manager for Schlumberger’s Corporate Development Group in Houston.

Malone holds 22 patents in the measurement while drilling (MWD), logging while drilling (LWD), directional drilling, seismic and completions domains.

Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Association for Corporate Growth.



 
Dr. Arnfinn Nergaard


Professor in Offshore Technology at University of Stavanger, specializing in subsea production systems and deepwater technology. Holds Master Degrees in Naval Architecture and Petroleum Engineering and a PhD Degree from Norwegian University of Technology and Science (NTNU).

Industrial experience from 10 years with Norsk Hydro and 20 years with Smedvig/Seadrill. Holds two patens and has authored a high number of papers and presentation.



 
Dr. Vikram (Vik) Rao


Executive Director with Research Triangle Energy Consortium.

Former Senior VP and CTO of Halliburton, responsible for leading the company’s technology efforts as well as intellectual asset management.

Rao is the author of more than 40 publications and has been awarded 24 patents in the fields of non-ferrous metal refining, alloy formulations, and oil and gas technology.

Director of the board of Opal Energy Inc. Advisory Board member of KaDa Research, Incl., PointCross Inc. and The University of Houston’s School of Engineering.

PhD and MA in Engineering from Stanford University. BS in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.



 
Bob Schwartz


Bob Schwartz is Vice President and Senior Advisor to Energy Ventures a venture capital company focused on early stage upstream oil and gas technologies. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University. Bob is the past President of HTC Energy, a component of the Houston Technology Center, a non-profit business incubator/ accelerator. Prior to joining HTC he served in management positions with Exxon/Mobil, Conoco/Phillips, Weatherford and FMC Technologies. From 1993 thru 2002 he was a member of the faculty of the University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business, as Senior Lecturer and Director of the Entrepreneurship Concentration.

He is a member of the Advisory Board of Directors of the Houston Technology Center, Past President of Silver Fox Advisors (a Houston service organization) and a member of the Board of Energy Alloys.

Schwartz holds a BS in Chemical Engineering (Tau Beta Pi), from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Professor Max Rowe


Max Rowe is founder and Principal Consultant of Selkie Solutions Ltd. He holds a number of non-executive positions including Chairman of the Board of the Industry Technology Facilitator (ITF) and is an Honorary Professor in the College of Physical Sciences, University of Aberdeen. Following an academic career at Southampton, Oxford and Cambridge Universities, Max spent 22 years working in the upstream oil and gas industry for a major Operator. In 2010 he formed Selkie Solutions Ltd to enable him to take on non-executive and part-time positions and undertake consultancy work. Specific experience includes:

  • R&D and technology management
  • Commercial negotiation and management
  • Business development
  • Quality management
  • Carbon sequestration
  • Strategic Planning, Acquisitions & Economics
  • IT and project management


 
Glenn Corrie


Director for Energy Investments at Temasek International, a Singapore based Investment Firm. Prior to joining Temasek, he was the Manager for Global LNG Strategy and Portfolio with Royal Dutch Shell (Hague). Mr Corrie has over 15 years of international oil and gas experience and has previously held a variety of senior technical and commercial positions spanning Australia, Europe and Asia. He has an MBA from the University of Chicago and an Honours degree in Petroleum Geophysics



 
Carl Trowell


President in Western Geco – Schlumberger.



 
Rune Freyer


Currently owner and inventor of Fishbones AS; a company specializing in completion based stimulation technology.

Founder and former General Manager of Easywell; a completion solution company which was exited to Halliburton. He has initiated 27 patents and a number of professional papers.

Freyer had an oilfield career with Schlumberger.

Freyer holds degrees in Petroleum and Mechanical Engineering.



 
Karl Johnny Hersvik
