ARKeX Announces New Multi-Client FTG Survey Offshore Greenland

Energy Ventures portfolio company ARKeX has launched a new area of their business focusing on multi-client full tensor gravity gradiometry (FTG) surveys. The company also announced the commencement of a new multi-client FTG survey offshore Greenland in conjunction with ION Geophysical Corporation. Details of the new business line were published in E&P , OilVoice and Eurovestech , while the Greenland survey was announced in Upstream Online , E&P , Oil Online , Offshore Technology and OilVoice .

Energy Ventures Invests up to NOK 57m in 2TD Drilling AS

Energy Ventures signed an agreement to invest up to NOK 57 million (approximately $10 million USD) in Norway-based 2TD Drilling AS , to support the development of advanced drilling tools for the oil and gas industry. Details of the investment were published in Finding Petroleum , PitchBook and on the website of the Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce .

Deep Casing Tools Announces Increase in Manufacture and Business Growth

Deep Casing Tools was recently featured in a Platform magazine article highlighting the company's significant business growth following recent success of its Turbocaser Express and Turborunner technologies. The company expects turnover to double yet again in 2012 and has plans to increase its international expansion.

Imaging geologic surfaces by inverting gravity gradient data with depth horizons

Energy Ventures portfolio company ARKeX recently released a white paper discussing the variety of methods used to invert gravity data into 3D geologic models. The goal is to produce a geologic model that is compatible with all measured quantities, does not exceed any prescribed limits, and is geologically plausible. To achieve this, ARKeX has developed a spatially based surface inversion algorithm that solves for the geometric interface between geologic bodies.

Red Spider's eRED Completes 100 Operations

Energy Ventures portfolio company Red Spider recently made headlines after announcing that eRED, its patented remote open and close technology, had successfully completed 100 operations across 30 fields in Norway, Australia, Equatorial Guinea and the UK.
