Prior to joining Det Norske, Mr. Hersvik was Senior Vice President of Statoil’s Research and Development division. Since 1998, he has held many professional and management positions in Statoil and Hydro, including Chief Reservoir Engineer and Operations Manager. He holds a Cand Scient degree in Industrial Mathematics from the University of Bergen.
Prior to joining Temasek in 2010, Sergio worked at Santander’s Energy in M&A in Spain. He has experience in investments and advisory across all segments of the energy value chain. He holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics, a Master’s in Finance from CUNEF in Madrid, and a MBA from INSEAD in Singapore.
Prior to his retirement from Petrobras last April, Mr. Formigli was a member of the Petrobras Executive Board and supervised all domestic E&P activities. He has worked for the last 32 years in Brazilian Upstream sector in activities related to well construction, subsea and topsides engineering, having occupied Campos Basin managerial as well as E&P Executive Management positions. Mr. Formigli is a Civil Engineer, having graduated from Instituto Militar de Engenharia (IME), Rio de Janeiro/Brazil with specialization in Petroleum Engineering. He has a MBA in Advanced Business Management from UFRJ/COPPEAD in Rio de Janeiro.
Prior to joining RTEC, Dr. Rao served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer with Halliburton. He is the author of more than 50 publications and has been awarded 30 United States patents. Dr. Rao earned a Doctorate degree and a Master’s degree in engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
Prior to joining ConocoPhillips, Dr. Shenoy was Vice President of Research for Schlumberger Limited. He has also served as Managing Director of Schlumberger-Doll Research as well as Director and Technology Center Manager of Schlumberger K.K. He holds a B.A. and M.A. in Electrical Sciences from Cambridge University, a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and a MBA from New York University.
Mr. Spears has worked in the oil and gas industry for 35 years and is one of the managing partners of Spears & Associates where he is responsible for leading the firm’s mergers and acquisitions practice. He holds an engineering degree from Oklahoma State University and completed graduate work in industrial engineering.
Mr. Trowell became President and CEO of Ensco in June 2014. Prior to that, he was elected President of Schlumberger in April 2013 and held a variety of international management positions, including Regional Managing Director for Schlumberger operations in the North Sea and Vice President of Corporate Marketing. He has a PhD in Earth Sciences from University of Cambridge, a BSc in Geology from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine and a MBA from the Open University.
William Prather is a Director of Natural Resources, where he helps direct the endowments’ investment activities within natural resources across public and private markets with an aggregate exposure. His focus is on the global energy sector, metals and mining. Prior to joining UTIMCO, William worked at BlackRock in New York City where he was a portfolio manager/analyst investing across the capital structure in both public and private markets. He invested over $1bn into private markets and helped manage $300mm in long/short liquid investments. Before BlackRock, William was an Investment Banking Analyst at Lehman Brothers in New York City and an Analyst at Teton Capital in Austin, Texas. William is a CPA and a CFA charterholder and received an MPA and BBA from The University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business.
